I always enjoy heading out to Pensacola Beach Florida to photograph the sunsets. This sunset I photographed just West of Pensacola Beach near the gate to Fort Pickens over the bay. This seagull was enjoying a morning meal on the dock behind Joe Patti’s Seafood & Market early this Sunday morning. With this shot I used the Sony A9 with the new Sony FE 200-600mm F5.6-6.3 G OSS Lens. Had the camera set to crop sensor mode to give me a 900mm reach. It only gave me a 10.53 MB file. Once I recieve the Sony A7RiV using the same setting will give me about a 26MB file. Camera setting were 1/500 sec at f/6.3, ISO 100 with camera mounted on a monopod. Post processing with Lightroom Classic and Skylum Flex.
I will say so far even though I have only had this lens a couple of days I am enjoying using it. The tracking with this lens on the A9 is great. I do enjoy the internal zoom on this lens. Still need to do more testing. But overall it’s definitely worth the price. Cheers!
