Bald Eagle Chilling Out

On the way out early this morning (4/13/21) to cover the Blue Angels practice session on the West end of Pensacola Beach near Fort Pickens I came across this Bald Eagle. I have been photographing Ospreys for years near Fort Pickens and this is the first time I have photographed a Bald Eagle. I actually stopped the SUV on the grabbed my camera and got the shots. The Eagle was just chilling out on one of the sand dunes. This is where is pays to have your camera ready to at all times. Be safe!

Osprey At Work

This Osprey was high up in the pine trees heading to its nest carry as large twig with its powerful talons. This shot was done on the grounds of Fort Pickens located on the far West end of Pensacola Beach Florida.

Osprey Takeoff

This Osprey was taking off from its nest as I captured this shot earlier this afternoon on the grounds of Fort Pickens on the West end of Pensacola Beach Florida. To capture this shot I used the Sony A9 with the Sony FE 200-600mm F5.6-6.3 G OSS lens.

Flying High

This Osprey was on its way to the nest high up in the pine trees as I captured this shot. Location was on the grounds of Fort Picken on the West end of Pensacola Beach Florida. To capture this image I used the Sony A9 along with the Sony FE 200-600mm F 5.6-6.3 G OSS lens.

Osprey Nest Building

Out early this morning (3/10/21) photographing Ospreys where I captured these two in the process of building their nest on the grounds of Fort Pickens on the West end of Pensacola Beach Florida. Each day I am out their I am seeing more Ospreys arriving and building nests. This shot was done with the Sony A7RM4 using the Sony FE 200-600mm F5.6-6.3 G OSS. Be safe!

Osprey Flying

This Osprey was flying through the tress as it was heading toward its nest high up in the trees as I captured this shot. To capture this shot I used the Sony A7RM4 with the FE 200-600mm F5.6-6.3 G OSS lens handheld. Location was on the grounds of Fort Pickens on the West end of Pensacola Beach Florida.
