Perching Bald Eagle

While hiking on the grounds of Fort Pickens on the West end of Pensacola Beach Florida I was able to photograph this Bald Eagle perching high up on a pine tree. The Eagle was in the process of building its nest.

Great Blue Heron Standing Tall On The Rocks

The wind was blowing and the temperature was cold with a wind chill of around 36 degrees. The cold didn’t seem to bother this Great Blue Heron as it stood tall on the rocks viewing the area on the bay near Fort Pickens on the far West end of Pensacola Beach Florida. Be safe!

Sparrow Snack Time

As I was driving on to the parking lot on the West end of Pensacola Beach Florida on the bay side I saw this Sparrow enjoying a snack with of some Sea Oaks. I new I would never be able to get out the SUV before the bird would have flown away. I aways have a camera on the seat next to me. So I grabbed my Sony A7RM4 that had the FE 70-200mm F2.8 GM OSS lens attached and actually shot through the front windshield. Not sure what I would get but I wanted to give it try. I ended up with a fairly good image. Camera setting with this handheld shot were 1/3200 sec at f/2.8, ISO 100. Point here is aways be ready to capture that shot. Cheers and be safe.
