Schaefer, Photographer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I have been a freelance photographer since leaving the military. It was during my tour of duty in the military that I first found an interest in\u00a0photography. My first paid assignment was the wedding of a friend and I have never looked back.<\/p>\n<p>Today, I no longer do wedding phot<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/thetravelingseniors.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/IMG_7560-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/>ography, but focus on scenic and commercial work. Along the way, I worked as a post\u00a0photographer for Redstone Arsenal (Huntsville, Alabama) for two years. Until 1988, I was a self taught photographer learning from reading and experimenting until I was able to get it right. That year I dropped everything and used my GI Bill and went back to school to pursue a degree in Photo and\u00a0Film Communications.<\/p>\n<p id=\"AppleMailSignature\">In 1992, after having a successful photo career in Huntsville, Alabama, I packed up everything \u00a0and moved to Gulf Breeze, Florida. \u00a0Not really knowing\u00a0anyone in the area, this was a big move for me. However, the timing was right. \u00a0I was looking for a change in my life and photography work. \u00a0 In 1998, I started to switch to digital photography from film.<\/p>\n<p>In 2002, I made a complete move to digital photography. Currently, I am using the <em><strong>OM-1 Mark 2<\/strong><\/em>, and <em><strong>Sony A7RM5<\/strong><\/em>. Today, I continue as a freelance photographer covering national sailing races, do scenic photography and commercial work in the southeastern U.S. and around the world. Some of my work has been featured in<strong> <em>Sailing World Magazine<\/em>, <em>Backpacker Magazine, Pensacola Visitor&#8217;s Guide, Emeral Coast Living Magazine\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>and other publications across the country.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Meet Stuart J.
